In a nutshell: Classy but cosy dining in an out of the way inn.
Opening hours: Dinner 6–9.30pm, 12–9pm Sundays. Other time slots apply for Breakfast and Lunch if you get peckish earlier!
Example price of a meal: Starters £5–9.50, Mains £12.50–19.50, sides £3.00, and desserts around £5–10.
Dishes to try: The crème brulee is to die for, seriously.
Best feature: The ambience and attentive service, you feel like a proper grown up.
Worst feature: Having to make an effort – you’ll feel out of place here if you don’t dress up nice.
Relevant offers: If you were put off by the steep example prices, never fear! I recommend going for the ‘Student Supper Club’ – 2 course meal and a glass of wine for £14.50, or 3 courses plus wine for £17. This offers runs Monday to Wednesday, involves a set menu which is different week by week, and it is important to book (and bring your campus card!). Same delicious food at the fraction of the price.
